waterstones

These are some polymer masters for a friend of ours, she calls them 'waterstones' and will have them cast in pewter. Both sides are carved, one with a word and the other with an asian character. I used the new sculpey 'studio' clay for these and I really like the texture. I wonder if they make it in translucent.

After I finished the masters we watched Beowulf (courtesy of the Red Box-totally love it) and I liked it quite a bit. I heard less than stellar reviews, but thought if Neil Gaiman wrote half of it...can't be all bad. And it wasn't, I found it very exciting and visually remarkable.

I've had an amazingly productive couple of days, I finished the pebbles, worked on my book and started on a pmc bezel. I have big plans to organize all the beads I got in Tucson, which have been languishing on my beading table untouched since I placed them there when I got home. Its a hard job, organizing, but its fun to look at beads. My horde is getting out of control, of course the best designs can emerge from chaos (I think).

Good, this makes me feel less guilty for not having organized my own Tucson beads. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Also, I still need to find a suitable clasp for my sapphires!

Looks like you have been productive!

I haven't seen Beowulf. I don't really know why yet. I guess I'll wait until it's one of the 4 for $20 movies at Blockbuster like I do nowadays.

I've been sorting and sorting out my little studio area and it's taking forever. But when it's finished, probably by the time I'm ready to move and mess it up again, it'll be good. It'll be very good. But we'll see. I might just shove everything into boxes and hide it like before. Seems like an easier more practical solution that I might get to rather than me digging through dozens of boxes sorting things.

The best approach is to just grit your teeth and do it! I bought all kinds of plastic storage boxes for the job. It'll be nice when its done.

I had a thing for Beowulf as a kid. I am not certain why, but I believe it was because the specific book I had had a scene which was so well written and so frightening I about blew my mind every time I read it! the illustrations were woodcuts and powerful and appropriate.

nice stones.
