What a refreshingly original take on a dragon! I really love all the different textures in the painting: the brittle twig crown (so cool!), the fine transparent membrane of her wings, the slick scales of her skink-like tail and the long, lushly soft grass that makes my feet feel wet as I look at it as if I'd wandered through it this morning. The myriad of little islands in the background is charming; does she live on one? Wish it were a film so I could watch her fly away...
