Aren't these great? I love how warm and shiny these octopi look in bronze!
I love these owls cast in bronze and shibuichi! It was alot of fun setting the eye stones. I found some beautiful rose cut garnets and sparkly black spinels, polished cabachons in opal, moonstone, garnet, turquoise, peridot, jade, lapis, carnelian and iolite. I kind of went crazy with the gemstones! They still need silver wire bails to finish them, but I like positioning them around my desk.
Since this project turned out so well, I'm inspired to make more little jointed and jeweled lovlies! Anyway, I have loads of stones to set! Greg liked the idea of a toad or frog. I thought a cat or monkey would be pretty neat. We'll just have to see what happens.....
Cat for sure!
ReplyDeleteWOW, these really turned out nice :)
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the bronze!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! When will we be able to buy these?? My impatient little hands wants one of those owls O_O
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andrew a cat for sure.
ReplyDeleteI just had a great idea though (I would want it anyway) a bat with gemstone eyes and outstretched wings with the holes in the tip of the wings for a pendant or bracelet component.

I want one of these owls I hope they are available soon!!!
Fabulous Cynthia, You really are so talented. I love the idea of the bat with gemstone eyes. I little sugar glider would be nice, too. I cant wait to purchase these new things.
ReplyDeleteSeriously cute! How about a little Scottie dog? I like the idea of the monkey too. Or maybe a dragon with an articulated body? I had this faboo pair of earrings in the 80s that were these bronze dragons. Lost one, don't know where the other one is but I loved them so and am always seeking something to replace them!
ReplyDeleteNice work, Cynthia!
Enjoy the day!

I so LOVE these and add me to the group asking for a cat! When will they be available?
ReplyDeleteI haven't posted here before, but I adore Green Girl items and have a huge stash. Lately, I have fallen deeply in love with the new bronze items. I won't even make anything with my stash unless I have a minimum of 2 duplicate pieces left - that's HOW much I love my GG stash. LOL.
Have you ever considered doing an Orca whale?
Anyway, I can't wait for all of your new items to be available.
I can't believe how cool those owls are!! Love the moveable head and cool eyes. I need one or ten...
ReplyDeleteSuch Wonderful work Cynthia! Remarkable. Maybe one will fly to my house soon lol!
