October giveaway 3

Hello! Time for the next giveaway! This weeks prize is a bronze bee pendant, a faery realm pendant (with 'come away oh human child to the waters and the wild' on the back), a rose blossom bead and a 'sweet honey' bee pendant. To enter, leave a comment about what you'd like to see happen with our website: improvements, customer galleries, more links, sample pieces, meaning of beads, etc. Greg and I have been talking about freshening up the site for awhile now, and have started taking new pictures with a ruler under each bead and I've been working on the text, where the symbols came from, their meanings or how the piece came about. Its slow going since there are so many pieces, but it shouldn't take much longer. We ask this question to find out what folks are most interested in seeing change on the site. We'd really appreaciate the input! I'll draw a random winner from the comments section on Friday, around noon. Thanks!

  2. In addition to the first comment, I think your site is easy to navigate and my only request is that you add a seahorse to your catalog! That's all. Thanks. --SallyA

  8. Yes, I too would love to read about the inspiration and/or meaning behind the pieces. I always enjoy reading about that.

And a gallery to draw inspiration from would also be great. Not least can you see how different pieces look like together that way if using several GG products in the same creation.

I like that you are taking photos now with a ruler in the pic. I did see some of the current photos have coins as a size reference, but as I'm not American, I have no idea how big US coins are...

One thing I would like as well is browsing by theme, e.g. cats, fairies, trees & plants, hearts, birds, dragons etc. I know there is a search function, but it could be a complement. I often search for a certain motif rather than specifically a charm/pendant or a bead.

  10. I would really like a search feature that would allow me to browse by theme. That would make designing charm bracelets so much easier.

  12. I would love to see Japanese-inspired beads. Perhaps a kitsune?
Anne Choi shows sizes by setting the beads next to small and large marshmallows--this seems like a fun and effective way to show size.

  17. I would LOVE to see a section showing more jewelry or other pieces of art using the Green Girl beads. Maybe you could receive pics from other artists to show in the gallery or something? Also, wish you would post more paintings - the ones on the website are so BEAUTIFUL!

  18. Your website has great colors. One suggestion would be to add some photos of your work on the front page so people know right away what you are about. Also, maybe a larger font on the nav. buttons.

A customer gallery is a wonderful idea!
