That's definitely a Japanes anemone...probably the cultivar 'September Charm'...and it will grow in shade but will bloom most prolifically if it gets at least a few hours of morning sun. (I'm working in a garden center these days.) If you are in the Chapel Hill area...I can hook you up! Or call one of the garden centers near your place in Asheville and ask if they carry 'September Charm' anemones. (AKA windflowers)

Still making jewelry as well!

Melaniemjseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05888155813585864249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30701633.post-83477587044722789902010-08-15T19:52:02.839-05:002010-08-15T19:52:02.839-05:00Japanese anemones, one of my favorites! I love them anyway, they bloom starting in July and continue throughout the Fall. There is a white variety that is not as aggressive.Gardannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08627322636329214313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30701633.post-12249452969660886452010-08-02T20:59:13.970-05:002010-08-02T20:59:13.970-05:00I'm thinking a red panda bead would be the cut...I'm thinking a red panda bead would be the cutest. wait, do you already make one!?Lorelei Eurtohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17330882921799083271noreply@blogger.com
